My query is that while giving final solutions in questions where we have to prove whether laws such as multiple proportions/reciprocal proportions are being followed or not. The solutions which Meritnation experts post have the final solutions in ratios (like 1:2), but practically, while performing complex divisions to find the ratios of masses of two elements of a compound, it is often not possible to write the answer in such a form. Instead, my final ratio comes out to be 0.50, which is the same as 1:2. So, is my version of the answer also acceptable? Thank you for answering.
