1/4 in number line 

 

We have to represent 1/4 in the number line .

 

So simply will frist write it in Fraction form that is

 

So we have to represent it on number line .

 

1/4 we have to mark on the right side of number line because it is a positive number having no negative number . That is why we will mark it on the right side of the number line .

 

As we know the denominator is 4 so between every number we will keep four points distance.

 

After the zero the frist point is number 1 and number 2 and number 3 and so on ...

 

The four points will consider number 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 and so on ...number after four points I have written 1 because there is the denominator 4 so we should keep 4 points distance in each number .

 

So , The number 1 we will mark and write the denominator 4
