1. Define Dynamic Equilibrium
2. Define ionic equilibrium

1. In dynamic equilibrium, the rate of conversion of reactants into products and the rate of conversion of products into reactants is same. Thus,

rate of forward reaction = rate of backward reaction.

So there is no apparent change in the concentrations of reactants and products even though both the reactions continue to progress.

2. We know that electrolytes in solutions conduct electricity as they form ions. Some electrolytes dissociate more easily than others. So, ionic equilibrium occurs when an electrolyte dissociates in solution to form ions and achieves equilibrium. An example,

Let AB be an electrolyte. So, its ionic equilibrium will be achieved by:

AB (s) + aq A+ (aq) + B- (aq)

Dynamic equilibrium occurs when the chemical reaction continues to proceed, but the amount of products and reactants remain constant.

ionic eq. is defined as :“Equilibrium which is established between the unionized molecules and the ions in the solution of weak electrolytes”
