5(x-1)+2(x+3)+6=0

Sorry to say but the answers given by you all are totally wrong.

5(x - 1) + 2( x + 3) + 6 = 0
5x - 5 + 2x + 6 + 6 = 0
5x + 2x - 5 + 12 = 0
7x + 7 = 0
7x = -7
x = -7/7
x = -1
