Since, momentum before collision = momentum after collision

= momentum of 1st car + momentum of 2nd car = (120/1000+100/1000)*X

= 100/1000*6 + 120/1000*5 = (12/100 + 10/100)X

= 6/10 + 6/10 = (12+10/100)X

= 6+6/10 = 22/100x

= 22/100 X = 12/10

= X = 12/10*100/22

So X = 60/11
