A barrel of 50 Kg is raised up on a 10 mt long inclined plane, by an effort of 25 N. Calculate the vertical height, through which the barrel rises

Hi Ghosh, data given are not so related based on scientific sense.
If suppose 25 kg wt is the force enough to raise it then angle of inclination of the plane will be got from
50 kg wt sin @ = 25 kg wt
==> sin @ = 1/2
==> @ = 30 degree
Now 10 m is hypotenuse and h is the height. So sin 30 = h/10
OR 1/2 = h/10
==> vertical height = 5 m
Please avoid using "mt" for the unit metre. Just "m" would do
kg wt is the unit of force which equals to g N

my nigga jegannathan dont know shit let me show u how its done.

Given: mass=50kg
           effort=25N
            length of inclined plane=10m

plugging in the formula for vertical height which is= effort x length of plane/weight of barrel

          (25 x 10)/50
=5m

(ii) formula for gradient = vertical height/length of plane

= 5/10

=0.5

so vertical height=5m

and gradient = 0.5 (no unit lmfao)
