a cell phone has dimensions 10cm x 5cm x 2cm. how many cell phones can be arranged in a box of dimensions 10cm x 10cm x 15cm ?

First find the volume of the box,

The dimensions(l, b and h) are  already provided.

so, Volume of the box = length x breadth x height

  =  10cm x 10 cm x 15 cm

  =  1500 cm3

Now find the volume of the cell phone!

The dimensions(l, b and h) are  already provided.

so. The volume of  1 cell phone = 10cm x 5cm X 2cm

  =  100 cm3

now let us find the no.of cell phones that would fit inside the box!

for that u need to divide the volume of the box by the volume of the cell phone like this:

No.of cell phone that would fit iside the box = Volume of the box/ Volume of the cell phone

  =  1500cm3/ 100cm3

  =  15

Therefore 15 cell phones would fit inside the box!

HOPE THIS HELPS! thumbs up if it  is right!
