A charge of 10 μc is brought from point A (0,4 cm,0) to C (3 cm,0,0) via point B (0,0,6 cm) in vacuum. Calculate the work done if the charge at origin is 20 μc. please answer fast

Dear Student

Charge located at the origin, q = 20μC= 20 × 10 - 6 C

Magnitude of a small charge, which is taken from a point A to point C to point B, q1 =10 × 10 - 6 C

All the points are represented in the given figure.

Point A is at a distance, d1 =4 cm, from the origin along y-axis.

Point C is at a distance, d2 = 3 cm, from the origin along z-axis.

Potential at point A,

Potential at point C,

Work done (W) by the electrostatic force is independent of the path.

Therefore, work done during the process is 14.94 J.
