a family spends rs 200 for buying flour  at the rate of rs 40 per kg.if the price of flour increased by 10 %,what is the expenditure increase of the family for purchasing flour?if the family wants to unchange the total expenditure for flour ,how much percentage they need to cut down their use?

Hi, with 40 rupees per kg he is buying flour for 200 rupeesso quantity bought = 20040= 5 kg now price is increased by 10 % so new price = 40+10% of 40 = 40+ 40×10100= 44 Now quantity needed is still 5 kg so new expenditure  = 5×44 = Rs. 220  So increased expenditure = 220 -200  = Rs. 20
Now,

So here if consumption is reduced to keep expenditure same then
10100+10×100= 9111%  reduction in consumption
