A force of 500 N is acting towards east and another of 600 N towards north. Subtract the first force from the second by drawing a vector diagram.
hi Kavita
Please find below the solution to the asked query:
(if image is not completely visible kindly open in new tab.)
In the diagram the R vector = [(600)2 + (-500)2]1/2
R = [360000 + 250000]1/2 = 6100001/2
R = 781.02 N
This is reult of the subtraction of the vector through diagram
than angle that that R vector makes with the 500 N vector is
Tanθ = 600/500
θ = Tan-1(6/5)
= 50.19o
