Since discount is 10%, and discount is given on Marked price
discount = 10% of marked price
= 22000 â¨¯ (10/100)
= 2200
So after discount customer has to pay = marked price - discount
= 22000 - 2200
= 19800
Now sales tax of 8% is charged on the discounted price, so total
amount paid
= 19800 + 8% of 19800
= 19800 + 1584 { 8% of 19800 = 19800 * (8/100) = 1584}
= 21384 Rs
So the amount paid by the customer is 21384 Rs
