A sphere, a cylinder and a cone are in the same radius and same height. Find the ratio of their CSA's

Given, A sphere, a cylinder and a cone are in the same radius and same height.

Let radius = r

and, height = h

Height of cylinder = Height of cone = Height of sphere = Diameter of sphere = 2r

  • 3

CSA of sphere = 4 * pie * r * r

CSA of cylinder = 2 * pie * r * 2r

CSA of cone = pie * r * root(r2 + (2r)2) = pie * r * root (5r2) = pie * r * root 5 * r

RATIO : 4 * pie * r * r : 4 * pie * r * r : root 5 * pie * r *r

Ratio: 4 : 4 : root 5

Cheers

Best of Luck
