advantages and disadvantages of solar cooker

Solar energy can be used to cook food using a solar cooker which renewable source of energy and free of cost. A solar cooker contains light reflectors which reflect sunlight and focus to a small area. The container on which the food is to be cooked is placed in focus of the reflector. The heat from the sun accumulate at the focus to rise the temperature of the container to a very high value which eventually cooks the food.

It does not uses any fuel hence cause no pollution.

 Disadvantages are :

During rainy day or during cloudy day it cannot be used.

it takes so much time to cook the food.

Advantages of solar cooker - It is pollution free, it requires no fuel, it is cheap , and cooking is hygienic and nutritious

Disadvantages of solar cooker - It takes a lot of time for cooking, it requires continuous sunlight, it 's utility is limited.

Advantages- costs nothing, it won't hurt the environment, it's an educational experience, you don't have to buy one you can build one, your food won't be dry it will be juicy and moist 
Disadvantages- weather- it won't always be sunny out and in some parts of the world the sun is rarely out, solar cookers aren't very fast- not as fast as a gas or electrical cooker/oven, they are hard to build, you could get sick from not fully cooking them, you can't make everything on a solar cooker- your choices are limited
