  • ADVANTAGES OF SYNTHETIC FIBRES :
  • THEY ARE MORE DURABLE
  • THEY ARE LESS EXPENSIVE
  • THEY ARE READILY AVAILABLE
  • THEY ARE EASY TO MAINTAIN
  • THEY DRY UP QUICKLY
  • THEY ARE WRINKLE RESISTANT
  • THEY AREN 'T ATTACKED BY INSECT PESTS LIKE MOTHS, WORMS ETC..
  • DISADVANTAGES OF SYNTHETIC FIBRES:
  • THEY ARE NON-BIODEGRADABLE
  • THEY ARE HIGHLY INFLAMMABLE
  • THEY CATCHES FIRE EASILY AND MELT AND STICK TO OUR BODY
  • THEY SOAK VERY LESS WATER

ADVANTAGES:

  1. THEY ARE SMOOTHER IN TEXTURE
  2. THEY ARE LUSTROUS
  3. THEY HAVE MORE STRENGTH
  4. THEY ARE WRINKLE-RESISTANT
  5. THEY ARE MOTH AND MICROBE-RESISTANT
  6. THEY DON'T SHRINK AFTER WASHING
  7. THEY DON''T GET CRUMPLED AFTER WASHING AND WEARING. HENCE, THEY DON'T NEED IRONING.
  8. THEY ARE ABRASION-RESISTENT(RESISTANT TO WEAR & TEAR)
  9. THEY ARE LESS EXPENSIVE
  10. THEY ARE READILY AVAILABLE
  11. THEY DO NOT ABSORB A LOT OF WATER. HENCE, THEY DRY UP QUICKLY
  12. THEY LAST LONGER

DISADVANTAGES :

  1. THEY ARE NON-BIODEGRADABLE
  2. THEY CATCH FIRE FAST AND FORM BEAD LIKE STRUCTURES AFTER BURNING WHICH STICK TO THE BODY OF THE PERSON WEARING IT, CAUSING SEVERE BURNS
  3. THEY FORM STATICAL ENERGY IN DRY SEASONS CAUSING ALLERGY TO SOME PEOPLE
  4. THEY DO NOT ABSORB MUCH WATER CAUSING DISCOMFORT

advantages=synthetic fibres are afffordable inexpensive and are strong as compared to natural fibres.they do not absorb  much water and dry quickly

disadvantages=they catch fire easily and stick to our body if used in the kitchen and any source of heat.

one of utilize synthetic material is acrylic
the advantages are-
They are light weight but have more bulk.
They are comfortable to wear due to high moisture management.
They are odor and mildew resistant too.

disadvantages are-
Acrylic is not as strong as other synthetics.
Has poor resistance to matting.
stained by oil and grease.

disadvantage : synthetic fibres melt on heating . This is actually a disadvantage of synthetic fibres . If the clothes catch fire , it can be distrous . The fabric melts and sticks to the boy of the person wearing it .

  • Most synthetic fibres have good elasticity.
  • Most fabrics made of synthetic fibres do not wrinkle easily.
  • Fabrics made of synthetic fibres are generally more durable, less expensive, and more readily available than those made of natural fibres.
  • Most synthetic fibres can handle heavy loads without breaking.
