An object thrown upwards reaches the highest point in 5s . Find the velocity with which it ws thrown . Also find the displacement ... Pls ans .... 2mrw is ma exam ......

Given, u = ?

v = 0 (as the object comes to rest)

a = (-10m/s^2) ( acceleration due to Earth's gravity )

t = 5 sec

So, use the first equation of motion

v = u + at

0 = u + (-10)*5

0 = u -50

50 = u

u = 50 m/s

Thus, the initial velocity is 50 m/s

So, use the second equation of motion

s = ut + 1/2 at^2

s = 50*5 + 1/2 * (-10)*5*5

s = 250 - 125

s = 125 m

Thus, the displacement is 125 m.
