Anil has a cubical box, a screen and a torch. He tried to form shadows of the box by
placing them at different positions and observed that shadow was not obtained at some
instances. Give any four possible reasons

The shadow does not form may be because of following reasons:
• The accurate shadow of the cubical box will form only when all three objects the box, screen and the torch are in same straight line.
• If the screen is placed far away from the box then the shadow will not form.
• The beam of light from the torch is falking parallel to the screen on the box due to which the box does not obstruct the whole light from the torch and shadow is not obtained.
• Only opaque materials cast shadow may be the cubical box that is used is not opaque.
• The torch is kept away from the box this makes the source of light far away, so enough light does not reach the box.
