Answer question number 5 fast as fast as you can please

5.
  In the given figure, find the area of shaded region.  T a k e   π   =   22 7

Dear Student,

Please find below the solution to the asked query:

Here portion added below square is not clear so we assume that is a semicircle with radius 7 cm

We know :  Area of square =  ( Side )2 , So

Area of given square  = 142  = 196 cm2

We know exterior angle of square is at 90° and we know area of sector of circle = Center Angle360°×πr2

Then,

Area of given sectors  =  90°360°×227×3.52 = 14×227×722= 14×227×494 = 11 × 72 × 4= 778 = 9.625 cm2

So,

Area of given two sectors  =  2 ( 9.625 ) = 19.25 cm2

We know area of semicircle = π r22 , So

Area of given semicircle = 227× 722 = 22× 72= 1542 =77 cm2

And we know area of circle = π r2 , So

Area of given circle = 227× 72 = 22× 7= 154 cm2

Therefore,

Area of shaded part  =  Area of square + Area of two sectors + Area of semicircle -  Area of circle = 196 + 19.25 + 77 - 154 = 138.25 cm2                    ( Ans )
