An atom is not divisible but it has three components electrons, protons and neutrons. If we remove the electron from an atom, its entity remains. But the nucleus is not divisible because it is the identity of the atom. We can remove the neutrons and protons from the nucleus , but then the identity of the atom is lost and it does not remain an atom any more.
