Bacteria and protozoa help in the digestion of cellulose in ruminants. Justify

Plz Answer *ASAP*

Dear student,
Please find below the answer:

The types of bacteria present in the ruminant stomach are facultative or obligate anaerobes. They help in the digestion of plant material known as cellulose. Ciliate protozoa also help in the process of degrading fibre present in the rumen of ruminants.
Ruminococcus flavifaciens ( a Gram-positive bacteria) is one of the bacteria actively involved in the digestion of cellulose.

Hope this clears your doubt.
Regards.
