Can a shadow appear when the screen is a mirror?

Dear Student,

The formation of shadow depends upon the position of the light source with respect to the obstacle or the opaque object on which light is going to fall. When an opaque object comes in path of light then the region behind the opaque object gets no light and a dark zone is formed  which is called shadow.
However, a mirror reflects all the light that falls on it thereby forming an image. So, no shadow is formed.
