Can pair production take place in vaccum..?

No the pair production cant take place in vacuum as pair production occurs when photons with sufficient high energy to produce masses interact with nucleus. An elementary particle and its antiparticle is then created. But in vacuum there is nothing with which the photons can interact so there is no pair production in that.
