Can someone please explain the graph showing the relation between conformers, regulators and partial regulators?

Solution:

Conformers are those organisms which do not have a mechanism to maintain a constant internal body environment. In the first graph a straight line is observed meaning that internal body temperature changes with the change in external temperature. Regulators are those organisms which can maintain a constant body temperature and constant osmotic concentration despite changes in the external environment. Birds, mammals and few lower vertebrates belong to the category of regulators. In second graph a constant line is observed. It means that internal body temperature remains same even though the external temperature changes. Partial regulators can maintain their body temperature to a limited extent. Beyond that limit they become conformers.
