Can transfer of heat from burner to pan be considered as convection?

Dear student ,
The answer is no , Transfer of heat from burner to pan is conduction and not convection because in convection medium particle carries heat energy from one point to other but here flame is directly in contact with pan .Hence , process is Conduction only .
