We have a formula for calculating limit of a function involving exponential terms.

The formula is:

$\lim_{x \to 0} \frac{a^{x} - 1}{x} = \log_{e} a$

Consider an example on the following formula,

We have to calculate the limit: $\lim_{x \to 0} \frac{2^{x} - 1}{x}$

Using the above formula,

$\lim_{x \to 0} \frac{2^{x} - 1}{x} = \log_{e} 2$ (here a = 2)
