can we donate oxigenated blood?

Blood is always extracted from veins for donation. Since veins carry deoxygenated blood, hence, normally deoxygenated blood is donated. But that doesn't mean that we cannot donate oxygenated blood. To donate oxygenated blood, we would need to take the blood from arteries because arteries carry oxygenated blood. But causing any perforation in artery may have a direct effect on heart. We may get stroke. Thus, we can donate oxygenated blood but usually deoxygenated blood is used for donation.
