Air does exert pressure as it is a mixture of many gases...

We can consider a few examples when we experience the pressure bearing capacity of air (or any gas).

(1) When we try to fill up a balloon with air its size increases and after a point, its bursts.

(2) Same, but when filling a bicycle tire.

(3) The pressure exerted by wind, which is air flowing from one point to another.
