There is a sharp contrast between the two ladies. Mrs. Fitzgerald is an assertive and dominating woman whereas Mrs. Pearson is a timid and vulnerable lady. Mrs. Fitzgerald advises her to take charge of her position at her home. She tells her to stop serving her family and put her family members in their proper perspectives to which Mrs. Pearson is a bit hesitant.
