Construct an equilateral triangle whose altitude is 3.5 cm

1-Firstly draw a line PQ of any measure and on this line draw prpendicular on it. Now take the measure of altitude on ur compass and cut an arc on the perpendicular line.where it cuts make angles of 30degree both sides and join these angles on PQ line. Now the required triangle is formed.

Firstly draw a line and then draw a perpndicular on it. Now take the measure of altitude as given 3.5 cm and cut an arc on the perpendicular then make angle of 30degree both sides and join it. Now the required triangle is formed.

Draw a line XY. Take any point D on this line. Construct perpendicular PD

on XY. Cut a line segment AD from D equal to 3.5 cm.
Make angles
equal to 30° at A
on both sides of
AD, say ∠CAD
and ∠BAD where
B and C lie on XY.
Then ABC is the
required triangle.
Justification
Since ∠A = 30° +
30° = 60° and
AD ⊥BC, ΔABC
is an equilateral
triangle with
altitude AD =
3.5 cm.
