defination of global warming

Global warming is the rising average temperature of Earth's atmosphere and oceans since the late 19th century and its projected continuation.

  • 1

The  Increase in the global average surface temperature resulting from enhancement of the greenhouse effect, primarily by air pollution,  is  called  global  warming.

In 2007 the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change forecasted that by 2100 global average surface temperatures would increase 3.2–7.2 °F (1.8–4.0 °C), depending on a range of scenarios for greenhouse gas emissions, and stated that it was now 90 percent certain that most of the warming observed over the previous half century could be attributed to greenhouse gas emissions produced by human activities (i.e., industrial processes and transportation). Many scientists predict that such an increase in temperature would cause polar ice caps and mountain glaciers to melt rapidly, significantly raising the levels of coastal waters, and would produce new patterns and extremes of drought and rainfall, seriously disrupting food production in certain regions. Other scientists maintain that such predictions are overstated. The 1992 Earth Summit and the 1997 Kyoto Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change attempted to address the issue of global warming, but in both cases the efforts were hindered by conflicting national economic agendas and disputes between developed and developing nations over the cost and consequences of reducing emissions of greenhouse gases.

Global warming is what happens when the temperature of the earth increases. This temperature increase is something that happens naturally, although it is also contributed to by human activity. The natural process that leads to global warming is called 'the greenhouse effect' and this is where gases in the atmosphere such as methane and carbon dioxide build up and retain heat from the sun in the atmosphere, therefore increasing the overall temperature of the earth. This process is called the greenhouse effect and is necessary for the survival of all life on our planet. Due to a larger increase of average global temperatures people are pointing at human activity for speeding up this process to a degree that is deemed unsafe, evidence of this is the melting of the polar icecaps and subsequent rises in sea levels. The gases in question are produced naturally but also by humans too, the big question is how much effect the amount that humans create has had already and will have in the future

The increase in amount of carbondioxide leads to increase the global temperature which causes the ice to melt. This phenomena is known as GLOBAL WARMING.

When the level of greenhouse gas increases, especially of carbon dioxide, due to factory smoke or car fumes, the heat retained increases the average temperature of the air. This is called GLOBAL WARMING

Global warming is a slow but steady rise in earyth's surface  temperature.the warming is because of people burning fossil fuels like coal and oil . Some also think that humans are cutting down too many trees.Coal-burning power plants, car exhausts, factory smokestacks, and other man-made waste gas vents give off about 23 billion tons of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the Earth's atmosphere each year.

WAYS TO STOP GLOBAL WARMING:

  •  stop putting greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Many people have tried to get countries to stop emitting greenhouse gases.
  • people have to change how they live because of any changes that global warming will bring. The amount of money a country has will affect how easily it adapts. Rich countries will be able to change more easily, while poor countries may not be able to change.

globing warming is happening because of the cutting of the trees because trees takes carbondioxide and release oxygen.being less number of trees carbondioxide is trapping sunlight and making holes in the ozone layer.global warming is done by us only by garbages and plastics not in dustinse.t.c.

global warming is he processby which the increase of co2 makes the earth warm

  • -2

A gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earths atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, CFCs, and other pollutants.

Global Warming is defined as the increase of the average temperature on Earth. As the Earth is getting hotter, disasters like hurricanes, droughts and floods are getting more frequent.Global warming is believed to be produced from an accumulating blanket of green house gases surrounding the Earth. This blanket allows radiation in but prevents heat from leaving.

GLOBAL WARMING IS THE INCREASE OF TEMPERATURE IN THE EARTHS SURFACE DUE TO POLLUTION AND IS VERY HARMFUL AS THE HARMFUL UV RAYS IS GETTING MORE DANGEROUS AND THE OZONE LAYER IS GETTING HOLES
