Define mass and momentum and weigth
Dear Student
1. Mass is defined as the amount of matter contained in a body. It is a fundamental quantity that all objects possess. For a particular body its mass will always remain constant irrespective of where its kept.
Its SI units are kilograms (kg).
2. Momentum means how we measure the mass of an moving object i.e which has both mass and velocity. It is quantity of motion of moving body.
momentum = mass * velocity
3. Weight is defined as the force acting on an object under the influence of gravitational field. So it tells us the amount of gravitational acting on the object. Weight of an object is not a constant and depends upon the strength of the force and where its kept.
It SI units are Newtons (N).
