Define Plasmolysis

PLASMOLYSIS is a term realted to plant cells.

It reffers to when a LIVING plant cell loses water throgh OSMOSIS there is shrinkage or contraction in contents of the cell AWAY FROM THE CELL WALL.this is known as plasmolysis.

Plasmolysis is an effect of osmosis in plants and bacteria. Osmosis is the net diffusion of water across a selectively permeable membrane, such as a cell membrane, from an area with a high water potential to an area with a low water potential.

Definition of plasmolysis :

shrinkage or contraction of the protoplasm away from the wall of a living plant or bacterial cell, caused by loss of water through Osmosis.

Plasmolysis is the process in plant cells where the cytoplasam pulls away from the cell wall due to the loss of water through osmosis

plasmaolysis is a process in wich concerbtration of water is higher inside and lower outsid , then water from cell will come out. then cell membrane will shrink and detached to cell wall , the process is know as plasmolysis.
