describe the humour in the story ranga's marriage

Dear student

One may consider the story 'Ranga's marriage' to be humorous because of the way the narrator tricks Ranga into falling in love with Ratna and marrying her, even though he says, at the beginning of the story, that he does not want to get married. The humour lies in the scene where the Shastri, using the narrator's hints, tricks Ranga into thinking that he will be marrying Ratna.
