design an activity to show how conventional currents are set up in the air.
The phenomena of convectional current flow can be experienced when we switch on a thermostat in a closed room at our homes. The thermostat heats the surrounding air which becomes lighter and moves up, pushing the cooler air downwards. This cooler air heats up and moves upwards, pushing the previously heated air downwards. This cycled continues until the heat source (thermostat) is switched off.
