difference between fibrous joint and catilagenous joint

2. In fibrous joints articulating bones are held together by white fibrous whereas in cartilaginous joints articulating bones are held together by fibrous cartilage.

fibrous joint : this kind of joint is between 2 bones. for example : cranial bones fuse together to form cranium. this is also known as suture. they provide no movement.

cartilageneous joint : this type of joint is between cartilage and bone.for eg. 2 vertebrates are held together by inter vertebral discs which are cartilageneous in nature. they provide limited movement.
