difference between movable and immovable joints

Immovable Joints:

1. It is also called synarthrosis or fixed or fibrous joint.

2. Synovial cavity is absent, e.g. sutures of skull.

Movable Joint:

1. It is also called diarthrosis or synovial joint.

2. Synovial cavity is present, e.g. ball and socket joint, hinge joint.
