Difference between primary secondary and tertiary cell wall

Three types of cell walls:
1. Primary cell wall: It is f​ound in all plant cells and is placed in the inner to middle lamellar region. They are thin and are elastic. It has less cellulose quantity. Hydration is more and can be up to 60 %.

2. Secondary cell wall: It is seen only in mature and non dividing cells and is placed in inner to primary cell wall. They are not elastic and are thick and rigid. Lignin, suberincutin may be present. Hydration is less and is up to 30 %. High quantity of cellulose is present.

3. Tertiary cell wall: It is not found in all cells and is innermost, thin layer. It lacks cellulose microfibrils.
