difference between protons and anode rays

and electrons and cathode rays

Anode rays- A beam of positively charged particles coming out of anode when an electric charge is passed through gases at very low temperature. The nature of anode rays depend upon the gas taken in the discharge tube.

Proton is a subatomic particle with a unit positive charge.
In case of hydrogen gas, anode rays consisted of protons as positively charged particles.

Cathode rays- A beam of negatively charged particles coming out of cathode when an electric charge is passed through gases at very low temperature. These negatively charged particles are electrons.

Electron is a subatomic particle with a unit negative charge.
