Discuss the irony at the end of the chapter the third level

Dear Student,

Sam was Charlie's psychiatrist. When Charlie revealed the existence of the third level, Sam dismissed it as a hallucination of a stressed mind. Sam asserted that Charlie was stressed and bored with his routine life. Therefore, his mind was looking for ways to escape from reality. However, the chapter ends with the revelation that Sam has escaped from the present world and landed in Galesburg of 1894. Despite dismissing Charlie's ideas, he started searching for the third level. He eventually finds the third level to escape from his present-day life. It is quite ironic that he was no less interested in escaping from the stresses of real life than Charlie.
