Discuss the irony at the end of thr chapter 'the third level'

Dear Student, 

​​​​​​It is ironic that Sam, Charlie's psychiatrist, finds himself in Galesburg of 1894. Despite discrediting Charlie's notion that a third level existed, he managed to find the third level and escaped from his present life to reach an era where his profession did not even exist. It shows that he was no less interested in escaping from the stresses of real life than Charlie.
