Distinguish between plants and lichens....minimum 4 points of difference

Dear Student,
Lichens are the organisms that are formed by the symbiotic association of the filamentous fungus (mycobiont) and the microscopic green algae or cyanobacteria (the photobiont or phycobiont). Fungus provides attachment, moisture, minerals to algae & in turn algae provides food through the process of photosynthesis.
Whereas,
Plants are multicellular, eukaryotic, photosynthetic organisms that are not capable of locomotion.
Lichens are an association of two organisms whereas a plant is a single organism.
Algae and fungi have different properties individually, but their properties are different after association into a lichen.
