Do dehalogenation of geminal dihalide with Zn in presence of dry ether produces cis alkene only??

Dear Student,

Geminal dihalide means both halogens atom attached on same carbon atom like 


and Dehalogenation occurs when dihalide treated with Zn in presence of a solvent like dry ether in which  removal of both the halogen atoms occur and in the result only cis alkene formed.
