he size of the cell does not vary form organism to organism, but the number of cells does. A larger animal like an elephant will have more cells that a smaller animal like rat, but the size of the cell remains the same.

  size and number of cells do not depend upon the size of organism. size and shape of cells depend upon their function and their need.

for eg:, nerve cells are long to carry impulses, cheek cells are soft, etc..
