draw the line segment of length 7cm and divided in the ratio 3:2 measure the two parts justify your construction

Dear Student,

Solution: Draw a line segment AB = 7cm.

Draw a ray AX which makes an acute angle with AB.

Locate 5 points (3+2) A1, A2, A3,A4,A5 on AX so that;

AA1 = A1A2 = A2A3 = A3A4 = A4A5

Join A5 to B.

Through the point A5, draw a line A3C || A5B; which intersects AB at point C.

We get; AC : CB = 3:2

AC = 4.2 cm and CB = 2.8 cm
