During summer, marine life prefers to stay in the lower level of water due to --:  a. They feel cool .   b. They don’t want sunlight.   c. The concentration of O2 is more at low temperature.   d. None of the above.

Solution
During summer, marine life prefers to stay in the lower level of water due to cooler temperature at the bottom.
In summer the water surface heats up while the sub-surface water remains relatively cool. Normally there is a difference of around two degrees between the surface temperature and that of the bottom. The animals which do not tolerate the larger variations in the temperatures prefer to sink below the warmed up surface water and remain in the sub-surface water having favourable temperature
