Antagonistic hormones : Antagonistic hormone are the hormones which work opposite to each other in the body of a living organism. For example: plant hormones- auxin and cytokinin are antagonistic as auxin promote apical dominance while cytokinin promote the formation of lateral buds.

The examples of antagonistic hormones in humans includes: Insulin and glycogen that control glucose level in blood. Glucagon releases glucose in the blood stream whereas insulin removes the glucose from the bloodstream.
