Cyclic photophosphorylation involves electron transport in a cyclic manner. Only Photosystem 1 is involved. While Non- cyclic photophosphorylation involves non cyclic electron transfer. Both Photosystem 1 and 2 are involved.

In non cyclic phosphorylation, there is presence of PS II in which oxidized reaction centre is present. This centre accepts the electrons released from water. PS II is absent in cyclic phosphorylation so photolysis does not take place in it.

Hence, option A is correct.
