Experts plz answer .

Solution:

9a. Outside the cell, it is hypertonic solution.
9b. Since concentration of solute is more inside the cell, water moves into the cell.
9c. The cell will swell since water enters into it.

Hypotonic solution is a solution having a lower concentration of solute with respect to another solution. When a plant cell is placed in hypotonic solution, water starts move in to the cell resulting in swelling and expansion of the cell.

Hypertonic solution is a solution having a higher concentration of solute with respect to another solution. When a plant cell is placed in a hypertonic solution, water moves out first from the cytoplasm and then from vacuole and hence cell membrane shrinks away from the cell wall (known as plasmolysis).

Isotonic solution is a solution having a concentration same as that of the other solution. When a plant cell is placed in an isotonic solution, water diffuses into and out of the cell at the same rate.
