COAL
Coal is a combustible black or brownish-black sedimentary rock usually occurring in rock strata in layers or veins called coal beds or coal seams.
PETROLEUM
petroleum. Literally 'rock oil,' it is a general term for crude oil and natural gas. Primary source of automotive fuels and lubricant oils, petroleum is a complex mixture of hydrocarbons and paraffins in some areas, and aromatics and cyclo-paraffins in other areas.
COALGAS
Coal gas is a flammable gaseous fuel made from coal and supplied to the user via a piped distribution system. The gas obtained when coal is heated strongly in the absence of air is called coal gas. Town gas is a more general term referring to manufactured gaseous fuels produced for sale to consumers and municipalities.
