Deforestation means cutting of trees, this affects the rainfall and increases the temperature as deforestation leads to global warming and thus because of this, the fertile soil turns into red alluvial soil which lacks fertility and thus the growth of  the flora in that soil stops or reterdedand this leads in desertification.
