Explain how plane mirror are made

Dear Student,

Basically, A mirror is a reflective surface that does not allow the passage of light and instead bounces it off, thus producing the image. The plane mirrors are made by putting a thin layer of silver nitrate or aluminium behind a flat piece of glass.

Mainly the modern mirrors are made by silvering or spraying the thin layer of aluminium on the back of a glass , but most of the mirrors are also made by heating aluminium in a vaccum. ??

A plane mirror is made using some highly reflecting and polished surface such as a silver or aluminium surface in a process called silvering. After silvering, a thin layer of red lead oxide is applied at the back of the mirror.
